Senior Data Analyst

Job Overview

This role involves managing and analyzing complex datasets to support business decision-making. The Senior Data Analyst will gather data from multiple sources, maintain databases, and identify trends and patterns within the data to uncover actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect data from both primary and secondary sources while maintaining and updating databases and associated systems.
• Analyze intricate datasets to detect trends, perform data cleansing, and review computer-generated outputs for errors, correcting coding mistakes when necessary.
• Work closely with management to ensure alignment between business priorities and information needs.
• Identify areas where processes can be improved for enhanced efficiency.
• Apply statistical methods to interpret data and generate business insights.
• Collaborate with management teams to assess and prioritize requirements from various business units.
• Create comprehensive data visualizations including dashboards and charts to facilitate effective decision-making across departments.
• Present findings clearly through reports and visual presentations tailored for audiences with varying technical expertise.
• Engage with managers from different departments to understand and define specific data requirements for customized analysis projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in science, business, information technology, analytics, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of professional experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and practical experience using statistical tools, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical capabilities to organize, examine, and accurately present large volumes of data.
• Ability to interpret data critically and develop meaningful actionable insights.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills to simplify complex data insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred but Not Required

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including PowerApps and Power Automate, for automating business processes.
• Experience with SQL development or ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Proficiency in Python, particularly for data manipulation, analysis, and process automation.
