Senior Cyber Underwriter

Role Overview

In this position, you will independently analyze, assess, and underwrite complex cyber risks. You will develop tailored and innovative insurance solutions addressing the dynamic challenges of the cybersecurity market. Confidently lead contract and pricing negotiations with brokers, major clients, and other business partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent assessment and underwriting of sophisticated cyber insurance risks.
• Design customized, innovative insurance products to meet evolving market demands.
• Lead negotiations on terms and pricing with intermediaries and clients.
• Regularly monitor relevant market trends and actively contribute with your expertise to the strategic and product development of the cyber portfolio.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, IT, Claims Management, and external partners.
• Support creation and delivery of underwriting guidelines and share expertise with colleagues.

Candidate Profile

• Several years of experience as a (Senior) Underwriter specializing in cyber insurance.
• Solid actuarial knowledge and strong analytical capabilities to evaluate and improve IT security measures.
• Confident decision-making skills, adept at handling complex risks and skilled in negotiation tactics.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
• Independent, organized, and solution-driven working style with a commitment to actively growing the team and business line.
• Completed degree in Law, Economics, Computer Science, or Information Security.
