Senior Cost Consultant

About the Role

Currie & Brown invites applications for a Senior Cost Consultant to enhance our expanding Dublin branch. This position provides an opportunity to join a skilled and supportive team delivering comprehensive cost management services across a variety of projects, with a particular emphasis on housing and public sector developments.

In this role, you will engage closely with directors and senior team members to contribute to high-quality project outcomes while benefiting from an environment that fosters continuous professional growth and collaborative learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer precise cost advice and reporting for clients while carrying out commercial management duties with minimal oversight.
• Assist Directors in the execution of projects, assignments, and commissions, specially providing cost management support.
• Lead in establishing project goals and priorities, acting as an engaged and proactive team member.
• Promote effective communication channels to guarantee vital information exchange for successful project delivery and collaborate with managers to ensure strong financial governance.
• Represent the company professionally, managing client interactions, negotiations, and correspondence to build and maintain valued relationships.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor of Science degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
• Membership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).
• Demonstrated technical execution experience in cost consultancy.
• Familiarity with Public Sector Procurement procedures within Ireland.
• Experience managing projects using pre and post-contract frameworks PW-CF1 and PW-CF5.
• Proficiency in cost control processes, including claim management and negotiation.
• Knowledge of CostX software is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Eligibility to obtain Garda Vetting and Security Clearance.
