About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant specialized in Serrala Neev Archiving to join us on a PAN India basis. Candidates from any location within India are encouraged to apply. The position focuses on leading solution design, implementation, governance, testing, deployment, and ensuring operational readiness for Serrala Neev archiving, supporting SAP S/4HANA active archiving, document storage, archived data retrieval, compliance adherence, and legacy ERP system decommissioning.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end design, rollout, and deployment of Serrala Neev archiving capabilities for SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives.
- Craft enterprise-wide archiving strategies, roadmaps, governance models, playbooks, retention schedules, operations procedures, and deployment approaches covering SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and legacy environments.
- Facilitate discovery and design workshops to identify data growth factors, archiving objects within scope, business dependencies, legal and compliance constraints, retrieval needs, reporting expectations, and goals for system decommissioning.
- Configure and verify SAP archiving components including objects, variants, residence and retention periods, dependency sequencing, background jobs, indexes, and data access mechanisms.
- Apply SAP archiving technologies such as ADK, Archive Information System, SAP ILM, ArchiveLink along with content repositories and controls for retention or destruction in line with project requirements.
- Integrate Serrala with SAP Content Server, OpenText, cloud-based repositories, or other enterprise content management platforms ensuring secure storage, indexing, searchability, access, and retrieval capabilities.
- Design legacy ERP data retrieval and access frameworks to enable authorized users to access historical data and attachments through SAP S/4HANA or approved web/Fiori user interfaces.
- Support structured archiving of SAP data and attachments adhering to compliance including cloud storage, retention policies, residency, audit trails, SSO, MFA, and role-based permissions.
- Coordinate archiving waves, pilot implementations, comprehensive testing, data reconciliation, cutover activities, evidence collection for data destruction, readiness for application decommissioning, go-live, and hypercare support phases.
- Serve as the main escalation contact for issues related to archiving jobs, retrieval failures, content repository problems, data reconciliation, performance, compliance evidence, and operational stability.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the foremost Serrala Archiving Subject Matter Expert (SME) for customer and program leadership.
- Own design and technical standards for archiving including object inventory, dependencies, configuration, runbooks, reconciliation frameworks, retrieval models, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to maintain reporting, audit, legal-hold, privacy, retention, and business access requirements.
- Define monitoring mechanisms and operational controls to oversee archiving jobs, archive growth, database size reduction, failed jobs, storage management, retrieval success, access control, and compliance adherence.
- Coordinate efforts among Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Order-to-Cash, BASIS, Security, Infrastructure, Data, Integration, Legal, Compliance, Records Management, and business teams.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, communications with stakeholders, vendor relations, onsite-offshore delivery models, and ensure deployment readiness.
- Provide thorough knowledge transfer, support handovers, monitor procedures, develop operational documentation, and suggest improvements for ongoing processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 10 to 15+ years of experience in SAP information management, archiving, BASIS administration, data management, or relevant enterprise solutions.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in implementation and solution design of Serrala archiving tools, preferably Serrala Neev, within SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong proficiency in SAP data archiving concepts, document archiving, information lifecycle management, archiving objects, ADK, AIS, SAP ILM, retention enforcement, and data destruction control mechanisms.
- Experience integrating Serrala with SAP Content Server, OpenText, ArchiveLink, cloud storage options, or equivalent content management systems.
- Deep understanding of data volume trends, database growth analysis, scheduling and sequencing of archiving jobs, indexing, storage solutions, data retrieval, and performance tuning.
- Capability in defining and implementing retention policies, residency requirements, legal holds, audit compliance, SOX adherence, privacy safeguards, security, and records management coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migrations and transformations including archived data access, historical data disposition, reconciliation, cutover activities, legacy ERP decommissioning, and hypercare.
- Exemplary skills in conducting workshops, documenting solutions, structured problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, leadership, and client consulting.
Project-Specific Expertise
- Proven track record delivering Serrala/Neev archiving solutions for SAP S/4HANA active data, document attachments, and legacy ERP decommissioning.
- Experience designing and validating Fiori-based or embedded retrieval interfaces for archived documents and information.
- Capability to manage phased archiving waves organized by company code, fiscal year, business area, or archiving object class.
- Ability to generate reconciliation reports, retrieval service-level evidence, database reduction KPIs, audit documentation, legal-hold validations, and destruction certificates when required.
- Proficiency in supporting legacy SAP ECC or other ERP shutdown preparations ensuring continued authorized access to historical data.
- Competence to work independently in global, multi-vendor teams and lead key design, cutover, decommissioning, compliance, and stabilization activities.
