Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team primarily focusing on privacy and data protection services. In this role, you will lead engagements, manage delivery for clients, and play a vital part in growing our privacy and data protection advisory capabilities. You will work within diverse EY teams delivering comprehensive cybersecurity solutions encompassing data governance, strategy, and privacy programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and develop strong client relationships to ensure successful delivery.
• Manage multiple client engagements, meeting quality, timeline, and budget objectives.
• Contribute to the growth of the practice through writing thought leadership and participating in industry events.
• Engage with potential clients for project planning and delivery phases.
• Produce high-quality reports and documentation alongside engagement leaders.
• Identify sales prospects and collaborate with senior leaders to create proposals and marketing materials.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and leading by example.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven consulting experience delivering privacy and data protection services, including conducting assessments, designing enhancements, and managing compliance programs aligned with UK and international privacy requirements.
• Capability in designing and managing remediation roadmaps and multi-year improvement plans.
• Experience with risk management, regulatory reporting, compliance, maturity assessments, and operating model strategies related to data privacy and cybersecurity.
• Broader cybersecurity expertise including security transformation, solution architecture, or cyber resilience is advantageous.
• Track record of collaborating in the development and implementation of complex client solutions and service offerings.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT or ISEB Data Protection.
• Familiarity with privacy management tools like OneTrust, BigID, Microsoft Purview, and TrustArc.
• Experience managing technologies such as Data Loss Prevention, Data Discovery, and Classification solutions.
• Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISMP, or ISO27001 lead implementer or auditor considered a bonus.
• Sector experience in areas like Government, Energy, Retail, Life Sciences, Technology, or Transport is valued.

Additional Information

• The successful candidate must pass checks complying with UK Security Check (SC) clearance standards, including identity verification, employment history, criminal record checks, and right to work.
• Candidates must be UK nationals or have resided in the UK for a minimum of five years with limited time spent abroad.
