We are currently expanding and seeking outstanding talent to join our Passenger Transport team within the Consultancy business as a Senior Consultant. Successful candidates can be based at any of our offices in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin, or Leeds, and will benefit from hybrid working flexibility.

Role Overview

This position focuses on delivering projects related to Bus Team operations across the UK, collaborating closely with the existing team to meet client needs with flexibility and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the technical delivery of bus operations, network planning, as well as ticketing and passenger information projects.
• Engage directly with clients to understand their evolving requirements and ensure their expectations are met.
• Provide technical solutions independently or as part of a team for existing clients.
• Consult with current and prospective clients regarding future needs to support business growth and secure new contracts for SYSTRA.
• Enhance personal capabilities through ongoing professional development, ensuring the team remains at the cutting edge of industry practices and technologies.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary projects within SYSTRA’s Consultancy Division, such as transport planning, development strategies, and business case preparations involving public transport components.
• Manage projects and proposals, supporting business development efforts.
• Clearly identify and communicate client and project goals.
• Oversee quality assurance for modeling used in investment and transaction decisions.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations effectively.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• A degree in a relevant discipline such as Transport Planning, Mathematics, or Science, or a Master’s in Transport Planning, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in bus operations, including network planning and commercial aspects.
• Proven background in delivering ticketing and/or passenger information system projects.
• Experience working directly with clients, including on-site placements.
• Strong capabilities in report and proposal writing.
• Established professional relationships with public and private sector clients, both existing and potential.
• Flexibility demonstrated through effective management of competing project priorities.
