About the Role
NVIDIA is seeking a skilled CPU Compiler Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on developing exceptional compilers that unlock the full capabilities of NVIDIA CPUs designed for leading AI and HPC workloads. These compilers play a critical role in maximizing performance across NVIDIA's Data Centres, cloud environments, and global supercomputing facilities. Joining this team means collaborating with talented engineers and contributing to cutting-edge compiler technologies and systems software while engaging with upstream open source projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team to comprehend, enhance, and maintain CPU compiler software targeting NVIDIA architectures.
- Implement new optimization features and improve compiler tools tailored for NVIDIA Grace CPUs by working closely with open source and upstream communities.
- Develop high-performance compiler software aimed at delivering top-tier performance for AI, HPC, and data centre applications.
- Contribute to the evolution of next-generation CPU micro-architectures through compiler innovations.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Over 12 years of professional experience in compiler development within production environments.
- Strong expertise in compiler optimization techniques, language front-ends, and code generation modules.
- Proficient in C++ programming with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Additional Advantageous Expertise
- Familiarity with CPU architectures such as ARM (AArch32, AArch64), RISC-V, x86_64, PowerPC, or DSPs, including experience with pre-silicon compilers and toolchains.
- Track record of working with industry-standard compiler infrastructures like LLVM.
- Understanding of AI algorithms, scientific HPC applications, and related compiler optimizations.
- Contributions to free software and open source compiler communities.
