Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to join an established defence technology company specializing in radio frequency (RF) products in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This permanent, onsite position is open to international candidates, with relocation support available.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, optimize, and integrate software tailored for radio frequency systems.
- Engage throughout the product lifecycle, from initial design and development phases through to system bring-up, optimization, and final verification.
- Implement algorithms provided by domain experts ensuring efficient and accurate execution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive tests and testing interfaces to validate developed code.
- Adhere to solid object-oriented design and engineering principles in all tasks.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of solid professional experience in software development.
- Proficient with modern C++ standards and paradigms.
- Strong expertise in object-oriented design methodologies.
- Extensive experience working in Linux environments, preferably Ubuntu.
- Skilled in designing, implementing, and debugging real-time, multi-threaded software systems.
- Familiarity with standard development tools including Git, Jira (or equivalent issue trackers), and Conan (or similar package managers).
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with C and/or Python programming languages.
- Working knowledge of Docker container technology.
- Hands-on experience using laboratory instruments such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Background or knowledge in software-defined radio, digital signal processing, or other RF-adjacent areas.
Additional Information
