About the Role
A prominent global financial services company in Singapore is expanding its engineering division by recruiting a seasoned Software Engineer with expertise in C++ and/or C# to contribute to the development of an advanced enterprise risk management platform. The position targets professionals with solid backgrounds in modern C++ or C#, especially those who have participated in building or improving risk engines for capital markets applications. This role involves working with a skilled engineering team focused on creating low-latency, critical systems servicing various asset types.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement performance-optimized applications using C++ and/or C#
- Maintain and upgrade a multi-asset risk engine that supports trading operations
- Integrate systems with quantitative pricing and risk calculation libraries
- Develop scalable services for distributing risk and market data to multiple applications
- Create APIs and data services that underpin trading and risk user interfaces
- Collaborate extensively with quantitative analysts, traders, and platform engineers
- Enhance application robustness, scalability, and efficiency
- Promote adoption of modern engineering methodologies and architectural best practices
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated professional experience in C++ and/or C# software development
- History of building or advancing risk platforms or engines within financial market environments
- Proficient understanding of trading activities across multiple asset classes
- Experience working with quantitative or pricing libraries for financial computations
- Knowledge of designing and integrating distributed systems
- Familiarity with in-memory databases such as Redis is a plus
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles including performance tuning and clean system architecture
- Strong communication skills with an aptitude for engaging both technical teams and business stakeholders
Preferred Background
- Senior C++ Engineer or equivalent with extensive experience in C/C++ plus incorporating C# components
- Senior C# Engineer aiming for leadership role, with background in enterprise data platforms, analytics tools, or risk management applications
