An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced buyer specialized in technical and engineering procurement to join a company manufacturing specialist equipment. The Senior Buyer will oversee cost-effective acquisition of materials, goods, and services to fulfil the requirements of the business.

Primary Responsibilities

• Promptly issuing purchase orders aligned with demand requirements.
• Ensuring timely delivery of materials matching purchase order dates.
• Updating and maintaining supplier information within the ERP system.
• Fostering and sustaining strong working partnerships with core suppliers.
• Evaluating supplier performance and driving improvement initiatives.
• Keeping purchase order delivery dates accurate and current within SAP.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in purchasing within a manufacturing setting.
• Solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and comprehend technical specifications.
• A respectable level of education, potentially focusing on business or procurement disciplines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with ERP system experience.
• Possesses a professional demeanor and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent communication skills paired with assertiveness.
• Self-driven, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to function well under pressure to meet diverse project deadlines.
