The company seeks an experienced Procurement Manager specializing in flexible packaging to lead sourcing and supply chain functions in its Saudi Arabian operations.
Responsibilities
The Procurement Manager will oversee comprehensive procurement operations for flexible packaging materials including BOPP, CPP, PET, PE films, aluminium foil, resins, inks, adhesives, and solvents. Responsibilities encompass building and guiding a competent procurement team, forming strategic alliances with local and global suppliers, and ensuring steady supply at optimal cost and quality. The role also involves negotiating contracts, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production and quality to meet operational needs, and identifying cost reduction opportunities without sacrificing quality or supply reliability.

- Lead and develop the procurement team, including recruiting, assessing performance, and fostering professional growth of team members.
- Formulate and implement strategic sourcing plans for a range of flexible packaging components.
- Manage supplier contracts to achieve competitive pricing and dependable supply.
- Cultivate robust supplier relationships with both regional and international entities, including regular evaluation and supplier development initiatives.
- Coordinate with production, planning, and quality assurance to synchronize procurement with operational requirements.
- Monitor industry trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to prevent disruptions and guide procurement approaches.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Certifications like CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are advantageous.
- Experience in procurement within GCC markets.
- Familiarity with the Saudi Arabian market and a network of suppliers there.
- Experience using ERP systems in manufacturing environments.
- Arabic language proficiency is beneficial.
