Senior Buyer (Construction)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer specializing in Construction to join our team based in Dammam, Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Obtain and utilize a Bachelor's degree in fields such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or closely related disciplines.
• Bring between five to eight years of proven expertise in procurement or purchasing roles, ideally within sectors including construction, maintenance, facilities management, contracting, or industrial services.
• Possession of professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPP, CPP, CIPS) is considered advantageous.
• Demonstrate practical experience in procuring a diverse range of materials such as civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing supplies, consumables, spare parts, and general maintenance items.
• Have an in-depth understanding of local supplier markets along with the capability to identify and cultivate alternative supplier sources as necessary.
• Experience in managing procurement procedures including preparation of RFQs, commercial bid assessments, purchase orders, supplier performance evaluations, and procurement reporting.
• Proven negotiation skills relating to pricing, delivery schedules, warranty agreements, and payment conditions with suppliers.
