Senior Business Development Executive

Job Overview

FM's Asia Pacific Division is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join its Singapore office. This role aims to bolster the company's growth in the Asia market by driving new business and nurturing long-term client partnerships, a core competitive advantage for the company. Reporting to the Vice President and Regional Sales Manager, the individual will be crucial in expanding the client base and boosting revenues.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed new business targets set by the Regional Sales Manager.
• Devise strategic sales approaches and maintain detailed call plans and reports, ensuring all prospect data is current within the Strategic Relationship System (SRS).
• Establish and sustain strong relationships with potential clients and brokers to generate a steady flow of new business opportunities.
• Continuously cultivate potential clients and manage emerging new business leads.
• Engage actively with the insurance and brokerage sectors by attending industry meetings, events, and conferences locally.
• Stay well-informed about competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market trends.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management, loss prevention engineering, claims handling, or underwriting.
• While experience in the broader insurance sector is advantageous, it is not essential.
• Familiarity with sales cycle components including prospecting, nurturing, negotiation, and closing deals preferred.
• Capacity to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Proficient written and oral English communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including facilitation and presentation competencies.
• Well-developed planning, organization, and time-management capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using relevant technology and social media platforms.
