Job description
Position Overview
Join CGI, Canada's leading independent IT services provider, as we expand our presence in Atlantic Canada. We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst adept at leading requirements analysis, engaging stakeholders, optimizing processes, and designing effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements.
- Create detailed business requirements, user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Serve as the critical communication link between business units, project managers, technical teams, and external vendors.
- Support activities such as project planning, business case development, risk assessments, and implementation support.
- Assess existing processes and propose improvements consistent with organizational standards.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, reports, and presentations tailored for varied audiences.
- Ensure adherence to applicable policies, privacy standards, and accessibility requirements.
- Foster strong relationships and manage expectations among internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within complex environments involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and translating business needs into clear, actionable documentation.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functional teams, bridging technical and non-technical participants.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with project and change management methodologies.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services or utilities.
- Knowledge of business analysis or project management frameworks including BABOK, Agile/Scrum, Lean, or Prosci.
- Certifications like CBAP, CCBA, PMP, or Scrum Master are advantageous.
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives, enterprise systems, or service modernization projects.
Compensation
Compensation is guided by factors including expertise, geographic location, experience, training, certifications, and more, with an estimated salary range of $70,000 to $135,000 annually. This is a prospective opportunity.
