Role Overview
Join a respected construction and civil engineering company renowned for quality and innovation across residential, commercial, education, and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. As a Senior Bid Writer, you will lead the creation of persuasive tender submissions, from initial pre-qualification questionnaires to final bids, collaborating closely with technical experts and senior leadership to secure significant contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of PQQ, SQ, and tender preparation processes.
- Design effective bid strategies and coordinate winning responses.
- Compose clear, client-centric, and engaging written content.
- Work in partnership with operational teams and consultants to build detailed technical proposals.
- Analyze client needs to tailor submissions that maximize success rates.
- Manage bid schedules, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
- Develop presentation materials and assist in client meetings and interviews.
- Maintain bid documentation repositories and identify ways to improve bid processes.
- Visit project sites to collect information and craft impactful case studies.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum five years of experience in bid writing within the construction or civil engineering industries.
- Proven success in preparing PQQs, SQs, ITTs, and full tender submissions.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Strong organizational skills capable of handling multiple deadlines efficiently.
- Experience collaborating with technical personnel and senior stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled at creating engaging presentations.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, with keen attention to detail.
- A relevant higher education qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
