Senior Backend Engineer

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team remotely. You will be accountable for building and managing backend systems ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain backend systems and APIs that power our applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, and designers to create high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, well-documented code following best practices and standards.
• Conduct code reviews and give constructive feedback to peers to uphold code quality and consistency.
• Optimize existing backend services to enhance performance.
• Identify and resolve production issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and trends to foster innovation and improvements.
• Coordinate with DevOps to ensure seamless deployment and operation of backend services on AWS cloud.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in backend engineering roles.
• Expertise in Java and Golang is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Node.js is advantageous.
• Experience with databases like MongoDB, Redis, and Postgres.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud platform.
• Familiar with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Skilled in writing efficient and optimized SQL queries.
• Experience using version control tools, especially Git.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate well within a team environment.
