Senior Associate - Pricing Technology Integration Engineer

About the Role

Join PwC Acceleration Center India as a Senior Associate specializing in Pricing Technology within the Customer Consulting team. You'll contribute to reshaping business practices for a diverse range of global clients by leveraging pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and technology-enabled solutions. This role focuses on modernizing sales, marketing, and customer service functions to help clients achieve sustainable revenue growth and superior customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Pricefx configurations using Groovy scripting to apply pricing logic, workflows, data transformations, validations, and user interface behaviors.
• Create and manage pricing procedures including discount guardrails, approval workflows, price list logic, segmentation models, and agreement frameworks adapted to business needs.
• Build reusable configuration components and accelerators ensuring scalability and maintainability according to engineering standards.
• Collaborate with functional and analytics teams to integrate AI-driven pricing applications such as intelligent deal guidance, anomaly detection, customer/product segmentation, and pricing policy alerts.
• Develop pricing analytics by defining KPIs like realized price, win-rate versus discounts, margin waterfall, price variance, and rebate effectiveness; assist in data preparation, validation, and dashboard enablement.
• Partner with data and integration teams to guarantee accurate, reconciled, and auditable pricing datasets including hierarchies and time series integrity.
• Conduct discovery sessions and refine requirements; translate them into functional Pricefx configurations and analytic deliverables.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation of Pricefx assets including scripts and configuration artifacts, ensuring repeatable and auditable releases across multiple environments.
• Support unit testing, SIT/UAT cycles, defect tracking, and resolution; assist in deployment, transition, and hypercare phases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to configuration and Groovy logic.
• Cooperate with integration teams on pricing master data interfaces to ensure validation, error handling, and data reconciliation.
• Author comprehensive technical documentation such as configuration designs, script documentation, test cases, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
• Engage in code reviews and uphold secure engineering and delivery quality standards.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices for Pricefx configuration and scripting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in pricing technology or related consulting roles.
• Proven hands-on experience with Pricefx configuration and Groovy scripting or similar scripting languages.
• Strong grasp of pricing concepts including price lists, discount mechanisms, approval workflows, customer/product segmentation, rebate structures, and governance controls.
• Experience with Git version control systems and practical application of CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
• Capability to work in cross-functional teams involving functional experts, data and integration specialists, QA, and release management.
• Analytical mindset focused on KPI accuracy and translating requirements into scalable pricing analytics.
• Exposure to AI/ML applications in pricing such as anomaly detection, forecasting, and elasticity.
• Familiarity with integration patterns including REST APIs, ETL/ELT processes, validation, and error handling.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum methodologies using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of ERP, CRM, CPQ systems, and enterprise master data management.
• Preferably Pricefx certified.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
