Role Overview

We are seeking highly skilled ASIC Verification Engineers to rigorously verify the design and implementation of our cutting-edge inference accelerator. This role offers the chance to influence a range of products from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and AI technologies. You will join a global team dedicated to pushing technological boundaries and shaping future computing platforms, focusing on high-performance processor components delivering programmable compute and graphics capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a pivotal member of the ASIC Verification team, responsible for verifying the inference accelerator design and implementation.
  • Verify ASIC designs, architectures, reference models, and micro-architectures using sophisticated verification methodologies.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of assigned units, establish verification scope, develop infrastructure, and confirm design accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and both pre-silicon and post-silicon verification teams.
  • Develop and enhance automated verification processes to boost productivity and efficiency.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and advances in ASIC verification and integrate new techniques into verification workflows.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in the industry with expertise in building block and SoC level testbenches, including strong debugging and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in verification employing random stimulus, functional coverage, assertion-based verification methodologies, and related tools.
  • Expertise in SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
  • Experience with verification and design tools such as VCS, Verdi, or their equivalents.
  • Knowledge of UPF power verification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with netlist and design-for-test (DFT) verification is a plus.
  • Programming skills in Perl, Python, and C/C++ are desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the ASIC design flow from specification through GDS.
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques to ASIC verification processes is beneficial.

Base salary is determined by location, experience, and comparable employee pay. Salary ranges are as follows: Level 4 - 155,000 to 205,000 CAD; Level 5 - 195,000 to 245,000 CAD. Equity and benefits are also provided.
