Role Overview
This position focuses on revolutionizing AI hardware development by creating cutting-edge hardware design methodologies. The successful candidate will spearhead AI-driven automation strategies that transform the conceptualization, exploration, and completion of sophisticated ASIC projects. Collaborating closely with a talented ASIC team, you will design innovative architectures and comprehensive development workflows that exceed traditional practices, enhancing capabilities in logic design, verification, and physical implementation. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the entire ASIC development pipeline to identify bottlenecks and areas where AI and automation can boost predictability, convergence, and development speed.
- Manage and utilize real-time data effectively by partnering with infrastructure teams to build secure, scalable data pipelines supporting AI models and analytics.
- Define and apply measurable metrics to evaluate efficiency, quality, and cycle time enhancements; leverage data insights to inform methodology choices and investment priorities.
- Act as a technical leader by disseminating best practices, authoring internal standards, and mentoring engineers on AI-driven development innovations.
- Monitor progress in AI, EDA, and hardware design research; assess new technologies and steer strategic development aligned with long-term product and technology goals.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing innovative ASIC design frameworks and workflows.
- Practical experience in RTL coding, functional or formal verification, or physical design is advantageous.
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, PERL, Make, and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and competency in developing agentic flows.
- Excellent communication skills with a reputation as a collaborative and supportive team member.
Compensation and Benefits
NVIDIA is renowned as a top technology employer offering competitive remuneration and comprehensive benefits packages. Base salary depends on location, experience, and comparable roles, ranging from 135,000 to 185,000 CAD for Level 3 and 170,000 to 220,000 CAD for Level 4 positions. Additional eligibility for equity participation and other benefits is provided.
