Role Overview

The Senior Applied Scientist will develop advanced deep learning and generative AI models, collaborating closely with product teams to implement innovative AI technologies across diverse uses. The position focuses on bridging cutting-edge research with real-world product solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, and refinement of foundational and practical AI research to create cutting-edge algorithms and models informed by current trends and complex data sets.
• Develop integrative solutions handling multiple data types such as text, audio, and images to enhance AI’s interpretation of human interactions.
• Partner with cross-functional research and engineering teams for the continual enhancement and optimization of AI algorithms emphasizing scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with product groups to embed novel algorithms into products and perform proofs of concept tailored to client requirements to ensure utility and impact.
• Identify opportunities where AI technologies can boost client business efficiency.
• Support business development teams with technical expertise during pre-sales and post-sales phases.

Qualifications and Expectations

• Possess an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, or a related AI field, particularly with specialization in computer vision, NLP, or audio and speech processing.
• At least 8 years’ experience developing AI algorithms for multiple modalities.
• Proven track record in high-level research demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications or significant product innovation.
• Strong curiosity and problem-solving skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of cutting-edge AI and machine learning developments.
• Excellent communication abilities.

Performance Metrics

Success will be measured by cost savings, the number of practical use cases researched and data mined, innovations and proofs of concept implemented, process optimizations achieved, and positive customer satisfaction scores.
