Role Overview

We seek a Director of Product Technology to lead the advancements and commercialization of Inception42’s shared agentic-AI platform. This role bridges ambitious product goals with engineering delivery, facilitating transition from early-stage validation toward robust, scalable, and secure production-level deployments tailored for enterprise and government clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and guide the technical vision and development plan for Inception42’s agentic-AI platform.
• Advance architectural aspects related to agent runtimes, orchestration, tool execution, governance, APIs, identity management, multi-tenancy, security, and sovereign cloud deployments.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data & AI teams to convert AI models, agents, and prototypes into fully validated, reliable, secure, and manageable platform features that address customer requirements.
• Drive the platform's enterprise integration, ensuring compatibility with strategic technology partners including Microsoft.
• Implement robust engineering standards encompassing code development, release management, production operations, with automation for evaluation, monitoring, rollback, and clear ownership.
• Develop engineering capabilities and resources across functional teams to fulfill the platform roadmap.
• Enhance the platform’s dependability, scalability, performance, security posture, and efficiency in AI economics across various deployment models such as enterprise, sovereign, hybrid, and client-controlled environments.
• Elevate team technical and product proficiency via comprehensive reviews, clear direction, coaching, and unified engineering methodologies.
• Leverage operational data, incident analysis, customer insights, and adoption metrics to continually refine the platform and its technical strategy.

Candidate Profile

• Proven senior leadership in product engineering, specifically building complex platforms, developer-focused products, or multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
• Demonstrable hands-on expertise in software architecture, system design, code or design reviews, and complex troubleshooting in live environments.
• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems architecture, API management, identity and access control, security, multi-tenancy, system reliability, observability, and production support practices.
• Experience delivering AI-powered solutions with familiarity in components such as autonomous agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation methods, grounding techniques, safety protocols, latency considerations, and cost optimization.
• Track record of shepherding products from concept and prototype phases through release, operations, iterations, and scaling.
• Strong user and developer-centered product sense emphasizing usability, adoption stimuli, and measurable business value.
• Skill in leading cross-functional teams and communicating complex technical and business considerations clearly.
• Ability to bring order and clarity in ambiguous settings while maintaining team agility without excessive bureaucracy.
• Exceptional communication skills tailored to audiences including engineers, researchers, executives, customers, and strategic allies.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with agent platforms, copilots, workflow orchestration, developer platforms, or API ecosystems.
• Familiarity with sovereign, regulated, government-related, hybrid, or on-premises technology deployments.
• Expertise in AI evaluation strategies, model monitoring, optimization of inference, capacity management, financial operations (FinOps), or cost control frameworks.
• Leading product engineering teams distributed across multiple geographic locations.
