Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, development, and deployment of sophisticated Agentic AI systems and enterprise AI platforms within the Data & AI Lab.
• Act as a technical authority providing architectural guidance, best practice recommendations, and technology selections for AI projects.
• Drive the implementation of AI orchestration frameworks such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), cloud-native AI services, and advanced AI tools bank-wide.
• Balance hands-on technical development with leadership, ensuring scalable, production-ready AI solutions comply with banking regulations.
• Design and implement complex Agentic AI constructs including autonomous workflows and multi-agent systems.
• Establish architecture patterns and protocols for AI agents and MCP integrations.
• Innovate by assessing emerging AI technologies and suggesting their adoption strategies.
• Architect pivotal AI platform components such as vector databases, embedding pipelines, and retrieval methods.
• Develop scalable frameworks for document parsing, processing, and metadata extraction applied to enterprise knowledge management.
• Set API standards and integration schemas to enable consistent AI service consumption throughout the bank.
• Lead cloud architecture design across Azure and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Create event-driven architectures employing Kafka for real-time AI applications and data streaming.
• Define infrastructure standards for model serving using OpenShift/Kubernetes, alongside monitoring and MLOps.
• Provide mentorship to AI engineers, facilitate technical reviews, and ensure adherence to CI/CD, testing, code management, documentation, and knowledge sharing protocols.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and IT to align AI solutions with overall technology strategy and data architecture targets.
• Engage with AI product owners and stakeholders to convert requirements into technical implementations.
• Communicate complex technical trade-offs clearly to senior leadership and governance bodies.
• Contribute to AI governance ensuring compliance with data policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Define and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for AI solutions with appropriate monitoring and alerts.

Key Competencies

• Extensive expertise in large language models (LLMs), embedding techniques, and generative AI architectures.
• Advanced skills in AI orchestration frameworks, multi-agent system development, and complex agent design.
• Proficient knowledge of vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks, and advanced knowledge retrieval techniques.
• Strong background in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch and model deployment utilities such as MLflow and TFX.
• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end machine learning lifecycle including model monitoring.
• Expert-level Python programming skills along with experience in AI/ML developer frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
• Hands-on experience designing APIs, microservices, and event-driven system architectures.
• Advanced SQL skills including stored procedures, window functions, temporary tables, and recursive queries.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git (GitHub/GitLab), continuous integration/delivery pipelines, and code quality best practices.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and object storage services including S3, GCS, and ABS.
• Experience with stream processing and workflow orchestration tools like Kafka, Spark, Apache Airflow, and Apache NiFi.
• Strong capabilities in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (OpenShift).
• MLOps expertise including model versioning, monitoring, and management.
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
• Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration skills, with ability to produce data visualizations and reports for executive audiences.
• Experience working across organizational domains involving IT, security, and regulatory compliance.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years specifically centered on AI/ML solutions.
• Proven track record leading technical execution of enterprise AI projects in live production environments.
• Deep expertise in cloud technologies (Azure or GCP), Kubernetes/OpenShift, and large-scale enterprise system integration.
• Mandatory experience in the banking or financial services domain.
• Preferred familiarity with regulatory compliance, data governance, and security standards pertinent to financial sectors.
• Desirable certifications include Azure AI Engineer, Google Cloud ML Engineer, or equivalent qualifications.
