Job description
Job Overview
This role involves supporting the development and maintenance of client relationships within the bank’s customer base in Qatar. The objective is to sell and cross-sell financial products and services tailored to client needs, aiming to meet sales goals while upholding credit quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage daily business development efforts and procedures for Wholesale Banking portfolios, including onboarding new clients to drive corporate banking growth.
- Adhere to thorough due diligence and structuring processes to safeguard the bank's interests and efficiently establish new client relationships.
- Enhance product engagement and cross-selling by collaborating with specialized CBQ personnel during client meetings.
- Conduct ongoing analyses related to structured finance and investment banking opportunities.
- Identify and cultivate new business relationships aligned with strategic and commercial goals.
- Organize regular client meetings to introduce CBQ products and services, increase portfolio revenue, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain active communications to keep customers informed about relevant CBQ offerings and credit evaluations.
- Collect credit applications and documents from clients, analyze them against rejection criteria, and submit to Credit Analysis for approval processing.
- Ensure timely payment follow-up and encourage renewals from customers.
Customer Analysis
- Gather and analyze credit and financial information of existing and potential clients to maintain smooth operational workflows.
- Profile clients to recognize banking needs and recommend suitable new products and services.
- Develop and update account plans consistently to pursue identified business opportunities and report progress to leadership.
- Manage client portfolios to maximize product sales, asset under management, and optimize returns.
- Oversee lending portfolio performance and risks, supporting collection efforts as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Propose and help implement improvements to departmental procedures to ensure compliance with legislative and procedural standards, providing efficient and quality service.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental management protocols within the work area.
- Prepare timely and accurate departmental reports and management information system statements in line with CBQ policies.
- Carry out other tasks or assignments as delegated.
Interactions
- Internal stakeholders: Corporate branches, Credit administration, Treasury, Audit, and Legal teams.
- External contacts: External auditors, clients, other banks, and government officials.
Required Competencies and Skills
