Senior AI Cloud Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior AI Cloud Architect to join our UAE-based team, operating in a hybrid work model. This role involves designing and overseeing cloud architecture for a comprehensive AI-driven enterprise solution focused on well test monitoring, anomaly detection, diagnostics, optimization advice, and knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and ownership of cloud and solution architecture across application, data, integration, security, and AI components.
• Create detailed Azure-based architecture plans encompassing compute, storage, networking, databases, and AI services.
• Develop secure integrations with enterprise data platforms and Azure OpenAI services.
• Ensure all solutions comply with cybersecurity standards, data governance, regulatory requirements, and AI governance.
• Set principles, architectural patterns, non-functional requirements, and deployment standards for cloud-based solutions.
• Work collaboratively with teams spanning AI, DevOps, infrastructure, and application engineering.
• Conduct technical design reviews to align with the intended architecture.
• Address scalability, performance, resilience, observability, and cost optimization requirements.
• Support presales processes, including architecture presentations, technical estimations, and solution workshops.
• Identify risks related to quotas, connectivity, and AI service utilization, along with dependencies and technical constraints.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Significant experience in architecting enterprise solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent discipline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Azure networking, identity and access management, security, governance, and monitoring.
• Experience in designing cloud-native applications and enterprise-grade integration architectures.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, or AI Foundry technologies.
• Strong skills in relational databases, data platforms, APIs, and integration design.
• Understanding of best practices for scalability, high availability, and cost management in architecture.
• Capability to define and implement architecture governance and non-functional requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience in delivery support, technical estimating, and presales consultation.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience executing enterprise Agentic AI or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Background working in security-sensitive or highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric as a potential migration path.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure AI Engineer.
• Familiarity with human-in-the-loop AI systems and enterprise knowledge management solutions.
• Industry exposure to oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in the Arabic language.
