About the Role

An expanding independent Chartered Accountants firm based in Huddersfield seeks a Senior Accountant to join their team. The company provides diverse services including accounts preparation, audit, tax advisory, corporate finance, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for a portfolio of clients, including Limited Companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
• Complete Corporate Tax returns accurately and on time.
• Prepare Self-Assessment Tax returns for clients.
• Manage periodic bookkeeping and compilation of management accounts.
• Provide training and mentorship to trainee staff members, supporting their professional development.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified accountant with AAT, ACA, ACCA credentials or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience working within an accounting practice environment.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as CCH suite, Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is advantageous.
