The role involves collaboration with regional Project Managers, operational teams, and U.S.-based accounting departments within a centralized framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record journal entries that require professional judgment based on business activities.
  • Conduct reconciliations of high-risk accounts and maintain proper documentation.
  • Draft local/entity financial statements and supporting schedules for Saudi Arabia and other RHQ-supported entities, including variance analysis and explanations for U.S.-based review.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing by delivering accurate schedules and documentation on time.
  • Support internal and external audit procedures, prepare schedules, respond to inquiries, and coordinate audit support.
  • Maintain accounting records following HDR policies and internal control standards.
  • Coordinate with Corporate, Operations Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Human Resources, and Legal teams as necessary.
  • Work with Project Managers and teams to provide administrative support such as organizing project reviews, managing project documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Review project financials under guidance, including budget tracking and status updates, and assist in identifying risks and required actions.
  • Enforce financial discipline across projects as per contract requirements and HDR standards.
  • Engage in ongoing process improvement efforts to enhance data quality and teamwork between regional and corporate groups.
  • Offer guidance and informal support to project teams on financial processes and timelines.
  • Assist with financial system upgrades, enhancements, and testing activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in operational or financial accounting including journal entries, account reconciliations, and support for closing activities.
  • Experience collaborating with auditors and managing external audit processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders, including Project Managers.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • At least three years of relevant experience.
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to being an active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in project-based sectors such as engineering, construction, or professional services.
  • Knowledge of WIP (Work In Progress), project accounting, billing, and receivables.
  • Experience in multinational organizations or centralized/shared-services accounting environments.
  • Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite or similar ERP systems.
  • Exposure to operations across multiple Middle East jurisdictions.
