Security Systems Engineer

Overview

This role focuses on safeguarding secure facilities and ensuring smooth operations by designing, configuring, and maintaining various security systems. The objective is to deliver dependable monitoring, controlled access, and prompt responses to security incidents across different operational setups.

Key Duties

• Assist in configuring and maintaining security systems such as access control, attendance tracking, screening, and surveillance platforms across multiple sites.
• Continuously monitor system performance, alarms, and security events to detect problems and facilitate quick corrective actions.
• Help integrate security solutions with broader network and monitoring tools to promote seamless interoperability.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and conduct regular health assessments of security systems to guarantee readiness.
• Analyze logs and trend data from security systems to uncover irregularities and identify areas for enhancement.
• Support system upgrades, evaluate capacity needs, and ensure compliance with data retention policies related to security systems.
• Liaise with vendors and coordinate on-site activities involving installations, maintenance services, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure all security practices conform to National Cybersecurity Authority standards, comply with cybersecurity obligations, and follow established system configurations and documentation protocols.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, IT, or a related field is required.
• At least one year of professional experience in security systems engineering or roles involving electronic security.
• Proven familiarity with CCTV, access control devices, and security monitoring technologies.
• A sound understanding of system integration principles, networking fundamentals, and security frameworks.
• Demonstrated strong skills in troubleshooting, data analysis, and maintaining clear, thorough documentation.
