Security Supervisor

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Security Supervisor to manage the daily operations and contracted guarding services at designated facilities. This position involves overseeing security staff, enforcing compliance with safety protocols, managing access controls, handling incidents, and evaluating the contracted security service provider's performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities and assess performance of contracted security personnel at assigned sites.
• Ensure security teams adhere strictly to established protocols, instructions, and operational guidelines.
• Develop and supervise duty rosters to maintain sufficient staffing at all security posts.
• Supervise entry and exit points as well as controlled areas to enforce access control measures.
• Perform routine checks of security positions and premises to confirm compliance with standards.
• Implement security and safety measures effectively throughout the facilities.
• React promptly to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating necessary responses.
• Document all incidents and related activities accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with various departments, facility representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding security and safety concerns.
• Oversee compliance of the contracted security firm with contractual obligations and approved procedures.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and operational challenges, initiating corrective measures.
• Compile and present periodic reports on security operations, personnel allocation, incidents, compliance status, and service efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records concerning security activities, inspections, incidents, and staff deployments.
• Perform additional security-related functions as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in fields such as Security & Safety, Security Management, or Management.
• Possession of recognized professional certifications related to security or safety management.
• At least three years of demonstrable experience in security operations, guarding, or supervisory roles.
• Proven record of managing and supervising security teams.
• Experience overseeing outsourced or contracted security services is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with large-scale facilities, commercial buildings, corporate environments, hospitality, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
• Comprehensive knowledge of access control protocols, security procedures, incident management, and operational security.
• Excellent communication, coordination, observation, and report-writing capabilities.
• Capability to handle security incidents effectively and perform under pressure.
