Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Security Officer to join our dedicated security team at a premier contract located at CEVA Logistics, Upper Heyford. The role involves working a 4-day on, 4-day off schedule during day shifts (07:00-19:00), averaging 42 working hours per week. The hourly pay is £13.86.

The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining safety and security within a busy logistics site. Key duties include conducting site patrols, controlling access, monitoring activities, and delivering exemplary customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. Reporting will be to Regional Supervisors and the Operations Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safeguard client property, personnel, and assets by adhering to site-specific Assignment Instructions and procedures.
• Identify and report irregularities, informing policy offenders accordingly.
• Timely escalation of incidents to appropriate authorities including Control Room, Shift Manager, Operations Manager, or Emergency Services for serious matters.
• Maintain detailed reports of observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards to uphold organisational integrity.
• Support team objectives by accomplishing related tasks as required.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers and visitors, providing professional, courteous assistance.
• Respond adeptly to customer queries and requests.
• Maintain high standards of professional conduct at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid frontline SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) licence.
• Complete and verifiable employment history covering at least five years.
• Experience in customer service with confidence in managing conflict appropriately.
• Flexibility to fulfil work requirements, including covering for holidays and sickness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Present a smart and well-groomed appearance.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, enthusiasm, and passion.
• Capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
