About the Role

Become a key part of safeguarding property, personnel, and assets by providing top-tier security services aligned strictly with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any updates. Achieve and surpass Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to support contract retention through full accountability. Commitment to ongoing professional development through additional training is essential.

Core Responsibilities

• Abide by all relevant policies, UK laws, and regulations as outlined by the Security Account Manager.
• Complete all site-specific tasks detailed in the Assignment Instructions thoroughly and to satisfaction.
• Consistently review Assignment Instructions, proposing improvements to enhance service quality.
• Maintain compliance with Industry and Statutory Legislation by holding a frontline licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision, and a CCTV PSS SIA Licence as required by the customer; additional course completions may be contractually necessary.
• Adhere strictly to legal responsibilities and safety standards intrinsic to the role.
• Follow organizational procedures and instructions respectfully and without undue challenge.
• Perform duties methodically and systematically.

Training & Development

• Successfully complete all competency training mandated by the employer.
• Engage in further training as directed to promote continuous personal and professional growth.
• Leverage technology to meet objectives and deepen job proficiency through continuous learning.
• Ensure licence renewals are initiated at least sixteen weeks prior to expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

• Act promptly to identify and report health and safety hazards on site.
• Remain vigilant to environmental threats or changes, taking immediate action to prevent disruption or damage.
• Apply discretion and involve relevant parties promptly if situations become threatening.
• Maintain professionalism even in challenging interactions with clients or difficult scenarios.
• Document incidents accurately and promptly in a detailed notebook for incident report purposes.
• Respect scheduling and demonstrate dedication to both Mitie and the client.
• Perform check calls punctually according to Assignment Instructions.
• Contact emergency services and the Communication Centre immediately to report incidents.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in security roles is required.
• Must possess a valid SIA Licence.
• Security Clearance (SC) is advantageous but not mandatory.
