Security Officer

About the Role

Join Securitas Ireland as a Security Officer and play a vital role in protecting people, property, and maintaining a secure, professional, and welcoming environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This position is based in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15, offering a fully flexible schedule with a minimum of 36 hours per week across Monday to Sunday. You will be collaborating with a prestigious client and contributing significantly to their safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and monitor access to client premises to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections to discourage and identify any suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly and calmly to alarms and emergency situations.
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a strong security presence.
• Document incidents clearly and maintain accurate security logs.
• Operate security and surveillance equipment as required by the site.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures diligently.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid PSA Licence (Licence Number: 00352).
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Willingness and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Basic computer skills.
• Customer service experience is highly desirable.
• Manual handling and own transport are advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation and Working Hours

The pay rate is €17.51 per hour plus additional €20 night allowance and Sunday premium. The employment contract is full-time with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week and potential to work up to 48 hours weekly.
