Security Guest Safety Ambassador

About the Role

We are looking to hire several experienced Guest Service Ambassadors to join our distinguished team at St James Quarter, one of our prime locations in Edinburgh city center. The role centers on delivering exceptional customer service and creating outstanding first impressions for all visitors, while maintaining a discreet but visible security presence.

This is a full-time, onsite position with multiple shifts available.

Core Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver a 5-star guest experience
• Maintain a visible and proactive customer-focused presence by greeting visitors and clients
• Conduct regular patrols as needed
• Respond promptly and professionally to client needs and requests
• Maintain a consistently professional demeanor
• Manage visitor access by issuing passes following established sign-in and sign-out procedures
• Ensure fire exits remain unobstructed and promptly report any health and safety concerns
• Create and uphold a safe environment for all guests
• Maintain heightened security awareness at all times
• Operate CCTV systems as required
• Complete detailed handovers at shift conclusion

Candidate Profile

• Professional, driven, adaptable, enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated team player
• Strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Proven ability to provide a 5-star guest experience
• Previous experience in hospitality or customer-facing service roles
• Excellent interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with individuals at various levels
• Impeccable personal presentation
• Capable of working independently with confidence and initiative
• Sound judgment and ability to seek expert advice when making decisions
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• Heightened sense of security awareness
• Possession of a valid SIA license is mandatory
• Minimum of five years of verifiable work experience
• First Aid certification is advantageous
