Vigilant Security is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the Newcastle location on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience in security, hospitality, or customer service, as well as those eager to embark on a new career path. The position requires teamwork and adherence to client-specific instructions.

Our company, an approved SIA ACS Contractor ranked in the top 5% of security providers, holds rigorous standards in procedures and training for all staff.

Job Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional and vigilant security presence. Your duties will span reception tasks, customer engagement, patrolling, and site inspections. Exceptional communication and customer service skills are vital as you will interact with both clients and visitors. Maintaining a high level of security awareness to protect the premises, personnel, and assets is crucial.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) license is mandatory.
• Strong communication and administrative capabilities.
• Dependable with excellent time management.
• Present yourself smartly, confident and well-groomed.
• Customer care awareness is important.
• Proficient telephone and switchboard handling skills.
• First Aid certification is desirable but not compulsory.
• Basic IT skills are an advantage.
• Comprehensive work and education history spanning the past five years.
• Valid driving license is required.
