Security Engineer

About the Role

Tech Aalto is seeking a skilled Security Engineer specialized in Tenable vulnerability management and automation to join their team in Singapore. This role requires extensive experience in cybersecurity operations, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Administer and maintain the Tenable vulnerability management platform including Tenable One, Tenable Security Center, Nessus Scanners, and related components.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using agent-based and credentialed scans along with plugin updates and scan policy management.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Tenable Audit Files tailored for CIS Benchmark compliance scans to align with company security and regulatory policies.
• Operate Privileged Access Management tools such as CyberArk effectively.
• Manage cybersecurity operations in varied environments, including cloud infrastructure and Critical Information Infrastructure (CII).
• Engage in vendor relations and maintain clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing management decisions as needed.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in cybersecurity operations and security tooling.
• Minimum of 3 years administering the Tenable Nessus platform, including vulnerability assessments and maintenance.
• Proven expertise in developing and tailoring Tenable audit files to meet compliance needs.
• Mandatory certification as Tenable Security Center Specialist or an equivalent credential.
• Hands-on experience operating PAM tools such as CyberArk.
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic network environments incorporating cloud and critical infrastructure.

Preferred Skills and Additional Expertise

• Experience with Vulnerability Management and Compliance using tools like Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, and PowerShell to boost operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with Singapore Government security standards, including IM8 and CSA guidelines.
• Ability to leverage AI technologies to enhance cybersecurity operations responsibly and securely.
• Understanding of financial sector security requirements and compliance frameworks.
• Holding or working towards Tenable Security Center Expert certification is advantageous.
