Security Director

About the Role

This role focuses on empowering sales by demonstrating Ericsson's comprehensive security capabilities, aiming to help customers achieve their security objectives. As a Security Director, you will enhance Ericsson's ability to sell, implement, and evolve solutions tailored to customers' security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a diverse team skilled in security and privacy to continuously learn and grow.
• Proactively establish yourself as a trusted security advisor for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing security guidance to Ericsson Customer Units and other decision-makers.
• Act as the primary liaison for Security, Privacy, and Business Continuity Management matters between Ericsson and customers.
• Identify, address, and ensure security and privacy issues are acknowledged and incorporated into contracts, while confirming delivery as promised through coordination with the security community.
• Support pre- and post-sales processes by evaluating customer needs and advising on appropriate security solutions and services.
• Offer expertise across various security domains including risk assessment, governance, data management, privacy, security hardening, ISO 27001 controls, and vulnerability assessments.
• Drive project outcomes and close gaps by analyzing customer technology, defining business requirements, and engaging in risk analysis.

Candidate Profile

• Strong leadership skills in managing internal security projects, capable of strategic oversight and hands-on execution, facilitating extensive cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent relationship management to coordinate effectively between cybersecurity teams and key stakeholders.
• Proven communication abilities to convey security and compliance knowledge to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, security, or related fields with approximately 8–10 years of cybersecurity experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• In-depth domain knowledge of the telecom industry and/or IoT, including expertise in product security, privacy, and overall cybersecurity.
• Understanding of telecom solution security, including Open RAN, Service Based Architecture, Core and RAN interfaces, network slicing, distributed cloud, managed services, and XaaS.
• Awareness of security regulations relevant to telecommunications at local levels.
• Expertise in security frameworks, assurance schemes, and compliance regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, coupled with international and interpersonal competence.
