Security Architect

Overview

Capco seeks a Security Architect based in Doha to guide clients in designing and deploying secure and resilient cloud ecosystems. This role involves collaboration across business, security, architecture, engineering, risk, and technology departments to infuse robust security measures at the beginning of cloud transformation initiatives.

This position offers a chance to address sophisticated security issues within financial services, enabling clients to confidently adopt cloud technologies while ensuring governance, regulatory compliance, and security controls remain intact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply cloud security strategies and policies tailored to organizational needs.
• Create secure architectural frameworks and security designs for public, private, and hybrid cloud setups.
• Establish and enforce cloud security controls, guardrails, standards, and architectural principles that align with business goals and regulatory mandates.
• Partner with engineering and platform teams to integrate security across cloud infrastructure, applications, and deployment pipelines.
• Execute routine security audits and assessments to detect vulnerabilities, formulating remediation strategies.
• Evaluate cloud security risks, identify gaps in controls, and propose actionable solutions that balance security, resilience, and operational needs.
• Coordinate with stakeholders in security, risk, architecture, and technology to facilitate secure cloud migration and transformation.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive background in cloud security architecture, cybersecurity architecture, or cloud infrastructure protection.
• Practical expertise with fundamental security concepts including identity and access management, encryption, network security, monitoring, logging, and cloud-native security controls.
• Proficient in designing security solutions for major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and security-by-design methodologies.
• Familiarity with recognized cybersecurity standards and industry frameworks.
• Experience with contemporary DevSecOps practices, infrastructure as code, container security, Kubernetes, and cloud security posture management.
• Clear communication abilities and skilled stakeholder engagement to translate complex security needs into actionable architectural and technical solutions.

Preferred Skills and Bonus Qualifications

• Prior experience implementing cloud security in banking, financial services, or other regulated sectors.
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies or security disciplines.
• Background in large-scale cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, cybersecurity programs, or technology transformation projects.
