Job description
Role Overview
A prominent organisation is recruiting a skilled Security Architect to join their innovative team, playing a critical part in shaping the organisation's security framework. This role involves conducting thorough threat assessments, managing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing strong controls to ensure that all new capabilities and technologies comply fully with stringent regulatory standards.
Operating within the Cyber and Protection area of Technology and Operations, the successful candidate will actively participate in hands-on projects, collaborate across teams, and steer the company's security strategy to meet compliance requirements in a highly regulated environment.
Contract Terms and Work Arrangement

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of five years' experience specializing in security-focused Solutions Architecture
- Expertise in performing threat assessments and risk management
- Strong stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proficiency in operating within regulated enterprise settings while maintaining security compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to merge strategic vision and tactical execution
- Capability to clearly communicate intricate security concepts to non-technical audiences
Possession of certifications like CISSP, SABSA, CISA, or cloud qualifications in AWS or Microsoft Azure is highly advantageous.
Experience working within regulated sectors, especially familiarity with Australian financial regulatory requirements, including APRA CPS 234, is highly valued.
