Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive end-to-end security architectures spanning cloud, Identity and Access Management (IAM), system, and network security.
• Develop reference, target-state, and solution architectures aligned with organizational goals and risk postures.
• Ensure architectures are scalable, resilient, and embrace Zero Trust and defense-in-depth principles.
• Create and maintain high-quality architecture documentation including diagrams, design specs, security standards, and patterns.
• Architect enterprise-grade IAM, Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions utilizing platforms like SailPoint, BeyondTrust, CyberArk, and Entra ID.
• Design secure authentication and authorization models incorporating Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, federation, and role or attribute-based access controls.
• Define privileged access policies, secrets management strategies, and enforce least-privilege principles.
• Oversee architectural integration of IAM platforms within cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments.
• Design security frameworks for cloud and hybrid infrastructures on Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Establish security controls for operating systems, middleware, and platforms including hardening and segmentation.
• Develop network security models focusing on segmentation, secure connectivity, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
• Align security architecture initiatives with industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CSA CCM, and SABSA.
• Participate actively in architecture review boards, design authorities, and security governance forums.
• Support threat modeling, risk assessments, and guide architectural trade-offs balancing security and business needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and other governance requirements.
• Promote secure-by-design principles across project and delivery teams.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing mentorship and guidance to architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Engage with clients’ senior IT, security, and risk leadership to align security architecture strategies.
• Contribute to proposal development, solutioning, and facilitate client workshops as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in Security Architecture or comparable architecture roles within enterprise environments.
• Proficient hands-on expertise in cloud security, IAM, system/platform security, and network security.
• Experience designing security architectures suitable for large-scale organizations.
• Technical proficiency with IAM/PAM tools such as SailPoint, BeyondTrust, CyberArk, Entra ID, Okta, alongside identity protocols including SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, and LDAP.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of network and system security architecture principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with recognized security architecture frameworks and standards.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, SABSA, cloud security certifications, and vendor-specific IAM/PAM accreditations.
