Job description
Overview
Nord Anglia Education invites applications for the position of HR Manager at Compass International School Doha, Qatar, with a preferred start date in January 2027, but flexible for earlier commencement. This leadership role involves comprehensive oversight of human resource functions aligned with the school’s strategic goals, collaborating closely with the Principal and school leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for all school staff positions in partnership with school leaders.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, offering guidance, coaching, and conflict resolution support to management and staff.
- Manage daily HR activities including payroll processing inputs, staff contract renewals, attendance tracking, and maintaining personnel records.
- Ensure adherence to Qatar Labour Law, Ministry of Education and Higher Education regulations, and Nord Anglia’s HR policies.
- Administer employee visa renewals, residency documentation, and staff exit protocols.
- Organize and facilitate the yearly appraisal and performance evaluation cycle.
- Assist managers with setting goals, providing feedback, and planning employee development.
- Collaborate with the Principal on workforce planning, compensation strategies, and human capital priorities.
- Promote principles of diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing throughout the school community.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; CIPD certification is advantageous.
- 5 to 7 years of comprehensive HR generalist or managerial experience, preferably within an educational or service-oriented setting.
- Strong expertise in Qatar labour statutes, employment law, and immigration procedures.
- Proven ability to handle large-scale recruitment and onboarding operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities with influence at senior leadership levels.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with HR information systems and data management; familiarity with SuccessFactors is a plus.
- Cultural sensitivity, empathy, and the capability to thrive in a globally diverse workplace.
