Procurement Manager

Position Location

This role is based at Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar.

Overview

Nord Anglia Education seeks to appoint a Procurement Manager to oversee and manage all procurement activities within the school. The role's primary objective is to ensure effective, compliant, and value-focused sourcing of goods and services that contribute to operational efficiency and support excellent educational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the school's procurement strategy in alignment with both school and regional goals.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and Finance Manager to establish annual procurement plans.
• Promote cost-effectiveness through competitive sourcing, benchmarking, and strategic negotiation efforts.
• Manage tendering processes adhering to governance standards.
• Negotiate and administer commercial contracts and agreements with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, internal financial controls, and Nord Anglia policies.
• Maintain thorough procurement records to support auditing and governance processes.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance to reduce operational risks.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to guarantee timely procurement and delivery of necessary resources and services.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related fields.
• Hold a professional procurement certification such as CIPS or equivalent (preferred).
• Have at least five years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles.
• Exhibit strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Demonstrate solid financial understanding and analytical skills.
• Experience operating within structured governance and compliance settings.
• Familiarity with Qatar procurement regulations is advantageous.
• Background in education, hospitality, or service industries is desirable.
