Job Overview

Starting January 2027 (earlier start possible), Nord Anglia Education is seeking an experienced HR Manager for Compass International School in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will partner closely with the Principal and leadership team to drive all HR functions, supporting strategic objectives and day-to-day operations within the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for all school positions in collaboration with leadership.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, offering guidance, coaching, and conflict resolution to staff and management.
  • Oversee daily HR activities including payroll inputs, contract renewals, attendance tracking, and personnel records maintenance.
  • Ensure full adherence to Qatar Labour Law, Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) mandates, and Nord Anglia HR policies.
  • Administer employee visa renewals, residency permits, and exit formalities.
  • Coordinate the annual appraisal and performance review cycle.
  • Assist managers with setting goals, delivering feedback, and planning employee development.
  • Collaborate with the Principal on workforce planning, compensation strategy, and people priorities.
  • Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing throughout the school community.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a similar field; CIPD certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in a HR generalist or managerial role, ideally within educational or service environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Qatar labour laws, employment regulations, and immigration procedures.
  • Proven experience handling high-volume recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at senior levels.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and data management; familiarity with SuccessFactors is a plus.
  • Culturally sensitive, empathetic, and comfortable thriving in an international and diverse setting.
