About the Role
Tranzit Coachlines Manawatu is seeking reliable and safety-conscious bus drivers to join their team servicing Palmerston North and Ashhurst school routes. These school bus runs offer at least 15 hours of driving per week, with the benefit of daytime off hours and school holidays free. Both permanent and casual driver positions are open.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Operate school buses safely with a valid Class 2 licence and Passenger Endorsement.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with students and community members.
- Maintain a positive attitude and collaborate well as part of the team.
- Prioritize health and safety, including adherence to new cleaning regulations for vehicles.
- Successfully pass background and police checks as well as drug and alcohol testing during pre-employment screening.
- Attend extensive training provided by approved industry trainers to ensure compliance and competence.
