Job description
Job Purpose
As a Scanline Floater, you will be responsible for preparing and organizing products for the scan team at MAC.BID, a company that sells customer returns and overstock products through online auctions. Your role includes inspection, categorization, and placement of items in line with the company's system, reporting directly to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming products to identify any visible defects.
- Sort products into categories: Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
- Perform basic functionality tests on electronics to determine their general condition.
- Transfer products onto the conveyor belt for scanning by the team.
- Promptly remove scanned items from the scanning area.
- Organize and shelve products in designated bays according to auction and lot numbers.
- Support the team in achieving specified quantity and quality targets.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and removing trash from bays and mobile scan areas.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be available to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
- Capable of lifting 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Comfortable with technology and able to adapt to tech-related tasks.
- Endurance to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Able to comprehend and follow written instructions and adhere to company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
