SAP Consultant - Procurement and Material Management

About the Role

We seek a proficient SAP Consultant specializing in Procurement and Material Management to improve procurement and sourcing activities within an SAP ecosystem. The candidate will leverage deep knowledge of Procure-to-Pay cycles, vendor management, and interoperability among SAP modules, particularly in an SAP S/4HANA context. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, the consultant will optimize procurement workflows, configure SAP MM, and support implementations and ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SAP Materials Management solutions emphasizing procurement and sourcing workflows.
• Manage comprehensive Procure-to-Pay processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice verification, and vendor evaluation.
• Interpret business needs into functional specifications and system settings.
• Support vendor management such as master data, sourcing, and contract oversight.
• Ensure smooth integration of Materials Management with Finance, Sales and Distribution, and Warehouse Management modules.
• Support SAP S/4HANA sourcing and procurement capabilities and related enhancements.
• Assist with SAP Ariba integration and procurement workflow coordination.
• Engage in complete project lifecycles: requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Work alongside technical teams on reports, interfaces, enhancements, and data migration efforts.
• Create functional documentation and carry out user training.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives targeting procurement and sourcing efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of practical experience in SAP Materials Management focusing on procurement.
• Strong command of Procure-to-Pay cycles and vendor management.
• Hands-on experience configuring SAP MM modules.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement.
• Demonstrated understanding of cross-module integration including Finance, Sales and Distribution, and Warehouse Management.
• Exposure to SAP Ariba integration is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Participation in end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Familiarity with enterprise procurement transformation and best practices.

Certification

Holds or must hold SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement certification.
