CCTV Infrastructure Specialist (Systems Engineer)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced CCTV Infrastructure Specialist to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of robust CCTV surveillance systems along with hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI). The role demands ensuring continuous video monitoring availability, managing core infrastructure services, and leveraging advanced server technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high system uptime, optimizing storage and retrieval of video content in large-scale settings, and working collaboratively with security and IT teams to reduce downtime, handle risk, and comply with regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement critical CCTV and HCI infrastructure for reliable surveillance operations.
• Maintain high availability of video monitoring and core infrastructure services.
• Integrate and manage servers, databases, and clustering solutions to support secure and scalable video storage.
• Work in close cooperation with security and IT operations to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot and optimize systems for performance and reliability in high-availability environments.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in IT infrastructure management, including at least 2 years dedicated to surveillance/video systems and hyper-converged infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 administration covering Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Experience configuring and resolving issues with Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC).
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server Always On Availability Groups to ensure database high availability.
• Proficient in designing, deploying, and maintaining hyper-converged infrastructure clusters.
• Familiarity with IP-based CCTV communication protocols like ONVIF and RTSP, including network troubleshooting for video data traffic.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
• Must possess Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or an equivalent certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with HCI platforms such as Nutanix, VMware vSAN, or Microsoft Azure Stack HCI.
• Certification as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate is an advantage.
• Possession of cybersecurity credentials like CompTIA Security+ or similar.
• Basic scripting capabilities in Python to automate system tasks.
• Experience integrating on-premises systems with cloud services (Azure or AWS) for hybrid storage solutions and disaster recovery plans.
