Sanitation Associate

Overview

Join our energetic and dynamic team as a Sanitation Associate, accountable to the Sanitation Supervisor, ensuring the facility's cleanliness and sanitation are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Duties

• Disassemble cardboard and load it into the compactor efficiently.
• Maintain clean production floors by removing debris.
• Sweep and mop floors as necessary.
• Properly dispose of waste from production lines.
• Use approved cleaning agents to sanitize various surfaces.
• Restock soap and hand towels in restrooms and break areas.
• Complete daily sanitation documentation adhering to FSQA standards.
• Perform general cleaning tasks throughout the facility.
• Adhere strictly to occupational health, safety acts, and regulations.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required and report hazards promptly.
• Carry out any other duties assigned as part of your role.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Have 6 months to 1 year of experience in food processing, manufacturing, or service sectors.
• Capable of standing for extended periods, including frequent bending, twisting, and walking.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting, prioritizing tasks while remaining calm and attentive.
• Comfortable working in variable temperature environments, such as warm, humid, or cold conditions.
• Physically able to push, pull, and lift weights up to 50 pounds.
• Work independently and collaboratively with strong interpersonal skills.
• Available to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• One year of sanitation or janitorial experience is an added advantage.
