Position Overview

The role of Sample Information Coordinator involves managing and overseeing clinical sample data, ensuring accurate entry and maintenance within laboratory information systems, monitoring sample tracking and reconciliation processes, and resolving discrepancies. The coordinator acts as a critical communication link among the study teams, laboratory operations, and clients to ensure smooth sample logistics and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling clinical samples through receipt, accessioning, labeling, storage, shipment, and disposal.
• Verifying sample inventory data and addressing or escalating discrepancies when identified.
• Communicating status updates about sample receipt and managing related documentation efficiently.
• Ensuring accurate sample tracking, reconciliation, and resolving any inconsistencies.
• Coordinating activities related to sample logging and receipt confirmation between stakeholders.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation and updated sample inventory records for studies.
• Providing training, leading initiatives for process enhancement, and supporting team activities.
• Assisting with audits, inspections, and assuring compliance with quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant biomedical field from an accredited institution.
• Hands-on experience managing samples within commercial, diagnostic, or analytical laboratory environments.
• Experience working in central laboratories with similar capabilities is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure through internships in commercial, diagnostic, or analytical laboratories.
• Proficiency in Mandarin to facilitate communication with Chinese counterparts.
