We are looking for a highly skilled Salesforce Technical Architect who will steer the creation, oversight, and advancement of secure, scalable, and efficient Salesforce solutions across our operations. This senior leadership position involves owning architectural choices, crafting technical direction, and ensuring alignment with long-term product visions, release schedules, and superior user experiences. The role sits at the nexus of business and technology, focusing on translating complex requirements into clear, maintainable solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive solution architecture development across Salesforce Industry Clouds and connected systems.
  • Establish and enforce architectural principles, design patterns, and governance standards within the Salesforce environment.
  • Create scalable data models, security frameworks including sharing rules, field-level security, and Shield, plus integration approaches.
  • Advise on build vs buy vs configure decisions based on platform best practices and business impact.
  • Design event-driven and API-centric integration approaches such as REST, SOAP, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and MuleSoft.
  • Offer expert technical guidance during design, proposal, and delivery stages.
  • Maintain comprehensive architectural documentations, technical diagrams in C4/UML standards, decision records, and technical standards.
  • Conduct architecture reviews aiming to identify and mitigate technical debt.
  • Assist product and delivery teams with technical planning, estimation, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate across teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver robust, compliant solutions.
  • Mentor developers and team leaders on architecture principles, design patterns, and Salesforce best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Lead DevOps maturity initiatives including CI/CD pipelines, source control with Salesforce DX and Git, automated testing, and release processes.
  • Promote organizational health by optimising technical hygiene, platform performance, governor limits, large data volume strategies, and asynchronous processing.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 10 years in software development or engineering, with 5+ years specialising in Salesforce architecture and solution design.
  • Demonstrable expertise in complex integrations using REST, SOAP, middleware/iPaaS platforms, and Platform Events.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce data architecture, security frameworks, and multi-cloud or multi-organization strategies.
  • Experience working with Salesforce DX and CI/CD tools like Copado, Gearset, or GitHub Actions.
  • Proven ability to develop and present architectural documents and diagrams to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or active pursuit thereof.
  • Application and/or System Architect certifications.
  • Platform Developer II certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MuleSoft, Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein AI/GPT, OmniStudio, and Industry Clouds.
  • Knowledge of large data volume management, Shield Platform Encryption, and Event Monitoring.
  • Experience in government, enterprise, or regulated sectors.
  • Exposure to broader cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
