Job description
Overview
The Sales Executive position involves proactively identifying and developing new corporate business opportunities through research, networking, cold calling, and attending industry events. This role requires building and nurturing strong relationships with key client decision-makers, conducting presentations, negotiating deals, and collaborating across departments to meet company sales objectives. The position demands effective sales strategy development, market trend analysis, and thorough reporting of sales activities using CRM systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and pursue new business leads from various sources including small business accounts and internal referrals.
- Establish and maintain enduring client relationships with focus on long-term partnership.
- Prepare tailored sales proposals and contracts, negotiate terms, and close deals in adherence to company policies.
- Coordinate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to optimize sales approaches and client onboarding.
- Represent Dublin hotels at customer-facing events such as lunch and learns, social engagements, and local industry functions.
- Ensure complete and accurate sales administration including follow-up communications, rate agreements, and interdepartmental communications.
- Adhere strictly to brand standards in all promotional materials and activities.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Participate actively in regular sales and management meetings and demonstrate leadership through personal example in punctuality, presentation, and teamwork.
- Flexibly adapt to working hours, travel requirements, and workplace locations while managing expenses carefully.
- Comply fully with company procedures including health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support business goals.
Brand Standards
- Ensure all printed and promotional materials are approved and align with brand guidelines.
- Maintain appropriate levels of branded stock and monitor hotel publicity materials.
- Actively promote marketing initiatives to support business growth.
Quality and Customer Service
- Collaborate with hotel teams to ensure excellent service for current and prospective corporate clients to foster loyalty.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and refer significant issues to management promptly.
Communication, Teamwork, and Leadership
- Attend scheduled sales and management meetings consistently.
- Lead through exemplary conduct in work ethic and customer care.
- Remain adaptable with respect to working hours, travel, and location decisions.
- Exercise fiscal responsibility in travel and accommodation arrangements.
