Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is pivotal in increasing awareness and promoting adoption of Cohesity’s offerings. This entry-level role suits individuals enthusiastic about kickstarting their sales careers by identifying new business prospects and nurturing a strong sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues to curate and enhance outbound prospecting lists.
- Identify principal decision-makers in targeted accounts.
- Design and implement outreach campaigns across multiple channels, including phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand potential client needs and introduce Cohesity’s solutions.
- Promptly engage with inbound leads via phone, email, or LinkedIn.
- Assess leads against preset criteria and schedule meetings for Account Executives to advance opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with Account Executives to transition qualified prospects.
- Gain deep familiarity with Cohesity’s platform to effectively articulate value propositions.
Candidate Qualifications
- Genuine enthusiasm for sales, ideally accompanied by at least one year of related experience.
- Proficiency in English communication, both spoken and written.
- Comfort with CRM software and tools used for prospecting.
- Experience researching companies, cold calling, emailing, and understanding organizational structures.
- Confidence in making cold calls and managing objections.
- Openness to coaching and ongoing feedback.
- Strong perseverance and determination in a fast-moving setting.
- Dedicated work ethic and focus on achieving goals.
- Collaborative mindset with eagerness to share knowledge and best practices.
- Self-driven with a focus on continuous learning and career advancement.
- Effective multitasking and time management capabilities.
- Possession of a college or bachelor's degree.
